I didn' really think about calcium as important until I started feeling more aches and pains regularly. Im in my 50's and those aches and pains were not a result of overdoing it at the gym (a place I rarely see). They just were there, everyday! It seems I'm getting older and my body is not as willing to function as it used to.
I started looking around the internet and talking with friends to see if ALL OLD PEOPLE have these same aches and pains. I found out that some do and some don't. Why do some Boomers get a free pass on the pains of growing old?
Well, here's a solution. Baby Boomers can reduce or eliminate aches and pains by doing a few things every day:
1. Eat a healthy diet, and make sure you're getting enough Calcium.
2. If you drink a lot of coffee, cut back! Caffeine causes Calcium loss from your digestive tract.
3. Stretch. If you don't know how to do that, go to a gym and sign up for a stretching course. In this economy, gym memberships are dirt cheap. I found one for $10 month to month with no strings attached. Before I went to the gym, I learned how to sit on the edge of my bed and stretch my legs, hips, and back.
4. Do some activity, even if its only walking. You only need about 15 minutes a day to make a difference.
Be Healthy!
